Lorie is a professionally trained & Certified Child Birth Doula from DONA International & Pro Doula who helps mother's during pregnancy, throughout labor, and after birth to provide encouragement, emotional, physical, mental and informational support to women and their support person. During pregnancy, Lorie will assist you with developing a birth plan while addressing your concerns and preferences about childbirth.
Now, the Owner, CEO and Childbirth Doula of C.A.R.E Doula Services LLC, she lives out her passion to support women in the most vulnerable and scared times of their lives. Her mission is to, show compassion, advocate, empower & reassure women through pregnancy, labor & delivery & postpartum.
Numerous studies have documented the benefits of having a doula present during labor. A recent Cochrane Review, Continuous Support for Women During Childbirth, showed a very high number of positive birth outcomes when a doula was present. With the support of a doula, women were less likely to have pain-relief medications administered and less likely to have a cesarean birth. Women also reported having a more positive childbirth experience.
